"Almost Dusk is inspired by my love of studying color, landscape and horizon lines. I look to where the land meets the sky to create a halo effect. I have been studying fields of grass in the Willamette alley and Beaches of Oregon since I was a college student. Monotype prints are the 'painterly' printmaking process and each print is unique. When I am working on monotypes, I have to think from the foreground to the background and backwards."
